The 2025 Adaptive CrossFit Games Open has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible competition it was! This year marked the first-ever Open for our Adaptive athletes here in Green Bay, providing a platform for athletes of all abilities together to showcase their grit, strength, and determination. The energy was electric, and the workouts put every competitor to the test in classic CrossFit fashion—challenging their strength, endurance, skill, and adaptability across multiple events.
Jason, Christi, and Scott complete various workouts through the Open
We are beyond proud of our athletes who took on this Open headfirst, pushing their limits and leaving it all on the floor. In the WORLDWIDE standings, Scott Virlee finished 30th, Jason Miller placed 22nd, and Christi Engels secured an impressive 18th-place finish overall. With the top 20 in each category advancing to SemiFinals, we’re on the edge of our seats waiting for the official word, as Christi may be moving on to the next stage! Check it out below to see for yourselves!!!
What makes these finishes even more inspiring? Each of these athletes is still relatively new to CrossFit, proving that dedication, adaptability, and relentless effort can carry you far in this sport. To step onto a competitive stage so early in their CrossFit journeys and finish strong among some of the best adaptive athletes in the world is nothing short of remarkable. Never once did they let fear stand in their way of completing any of the given workouts.
We want to extend a huge thank you to WheelWOD and the Adaptive CrossFit Games for providing this platform for adaptive athletes to compete and showcase their talents. The inclusivity and competitive integrity of this event set the tone for a bright future in adaptive CrossFit, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be part of it.
As we look ahead, we’re fired up for what’s next. The SemiFinals and beyond will be another opportunity for athletes to prove their resilience, sharpen their skills, and take their training to new heights. Whether it’s this season or the next, we know this is just the beginning for Scott, Jason, and Christi. And we hope to add more athletes to the roster next season!
To everyone who cheered them on, trained alongside them, and believed in them—thank you. The adaptive CrossFit community is stronger than ever, and we can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next!
🔥 See you in the next round—because this is only the beginning.
